Playing the Long Game

3/21/2022

GameStop lost millions of dollars in the fourth quarter of 2021, but the company’s leaders say they’re not deterred; they’re playing the long game. “We have to rebuild from within, offer more competitive pricing, faster shipping, and better customer service.” They said the strategy is to “embrace rather than run from the new frontiers of this business.”
“Hopefulness is not faith or blind optimism. Rather, it is perceiving one's world as pregnant with possibilities. To be hopefully engaged means to embrace our roles as midwives of the future.” - Leslie Thiele, Indra’s Net and the Midas Touch
Affirmative prayer: I give thanks for the vision, hopefulness, and talent that the Divine inspires in me every day. My long game is the eternal now, and I build my life from within. Thank you, Infinite Presence, for the good that my touch has on my family, my work, and my community. Amen.
