Paintings from the Hull Maritime Museum have had new life breathed into them as decades of grime have been removed. Research fellow Rhiannon Clarricoates said specialists spent more than 1,000 hours working on the paintings. "By removing dirt and varnish and repairing tears, we were able to reveal the details and colors of the original paintings." A metaphor... Removing the grime, restoring our soul... “That's the sacred intent of life – of God – to move us continuously toward growth, toward recovering all that is orphaned within us and restoring the divine image imprinted on our soul.” – Sue Monk Kidd, When the Heart Waits Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, knowing that my soul, my life, is infinitely redeemable, I rejoice in its renewal. I let go of the anger, unforgiveness, victimhood - all that is unlike Divine’s beauty - and I move forward with trust, gratitude, and a vision restored by grace. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
