A Dynamic Exchange of Energy

The Interior Department approved the first U.S. large-scale offshore wind farm. The Vineyard Wind project, situated about 12 miles off the coast of Massachusetts, will consist of 62 turbines spaced about a mile apart, each standing about 837 feet above the water's surface. Engineers say it will produce enough electricity to power 400,000 homes.
