A Masterpiece Restored

As India faces the worst drought in its history, the country is returning to its almost-forgotten system of capturing rainwater. Stepwells, which were created 1,000 years ago, have a kind of inverted pyramid design and they channeled rainwater into underground aquafers. The architectural masterpieces are being uncovered and restored and are functioning as well as ever.
