Circle of Love, Grace, and Courage

For more than seven decades, Martin Adler treasured a black-and-white photo of himself as a young American soldier with three Italian children who he saved from the Nazis in 1944. Using social media, the 97-year-old veteran located the “kids,” seeing them for the first time since the war. He embraced the three siblings, calling them, “Bambini,” and said, “My heart is bursting. Grazie, grazie.”
“Our greatest power as nations and individuals is to arm ourselves with grace and compassion sufficient enough to love and save each other.”
– Aberjhani, Splendid Literarium
Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, in prayer and action, I shepherd my soul partners – all whom I meet – into the arms of the Beloved. I lean into the brave and compassionate heart that sustains us all. Together, we trust the Divine’s holy practice of showing up as each of us. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
