Growing in Godlikeness

Florence Rigney is opting for early retirement. At the age of 96, she’s hanging up her scrubs after more than 70 years of caring for patients. Florence, whose career started just after penicillin had been introduced, has cared for thousands of lives, and a scholarship fund has been established to inspire future nurses.

Affirmative prayer: I remember that I am made in the image and after the likeness of the One who gives life to all. This testament to my spiritual heritage is made evident in my caring. I give thanks to be an avenue through which the Divine touches others, and I’m grateful for my sister and brother saints who go about the care and love of God. Thank you, Infinite Presence, forever.
