Largest Comet Ever to Pay a Visit

The largest comet ever discovered will pass by our Sun in 2031, getting close enough to Earth that amateur astronomers will be able to see it. Comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein, which has been traveling for millions of years, is about 100 miles across and is from the outskirts of our solar system. It was detected by the Dark Energy Camera in Chile, which is mapping 300 million galaxies across the sky.
