 Throughout Robert Schumann’s life (1810-1856), he reported hearing inner voices which inspired his music. In his final years, the “spirits” which Schumann believed surrounded him, prompted some of his greatest work. “Ghost Variations” for solo piano, a hauntingly moving composition that combines sadness and beauty, was the last piece he wrote before entering an asylum.

Today, I practice lowly listening, placing my heart and mind in a divine current of power, love, and wisdom.
