the power of watchfulness

A wise sage, asked to help a sick child, began praying for her. A crowd gathered and a man angrily shouted, “Do you think your prayer will help her, when medicine has failed? You are a stupid fool!" When the sage finished praying, he looked at the man and said, "If a prayer has such power to make you angry, may it not also have the power to heal?" And thus, two people were healed that day.
