The Voice of the Divine

One Sunday, at the conclusion of the church service, a sweet, elderly woman grasped the minister’s hand and said, “Preacher, that was a warm sermon.” Later that afternoon, the minister looked up the definition of warm: “Not so hot.”
Affirmative Prayer: “Today, I am open to inspiration and guidance from all directions. I hear the voice of the Divine in nature, whispering, ‘You are my beloved and I am with you always.’ I feel the comfort of friends and family in simply the thought of them, remembering a smile or a touch. And I am inspired by the goodness of men and women everywhere in their acts of kindness. Life is very good. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.” – Rev. Scott
