Spiritual Passages is a resource for spiritual teachers and seekers, dedicated to supporting those with a heart for ministry and inspiring those who are sincerely seeking Spirit. 
REV. SCOTT AWBREY
My life and work have been shaped by a desire to be of service to others, to spiritual community, and to something greater than myself. I earned my bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications from the University of Texas. I worked in the corporate world for years before being called into the service of spiritual organizations. I served on the staff of Mile Hi Church as Director of Communications. Then, while attending Holmes Institute seminary, I worked for the United Church of Religious Science - now the Centers for Spiritual Living - as Director of Communications, as well as serving with the World Ministry of Prayer. I went on to serve in church ministry for more than 25 years, ultimately retiring and becoming Minister Emeritus with the Centers for Spiritual Living. After retiring from the church world, I founded a new expression of service - Spiritual Passages - in 2019. In ministry, I have also served on the board of the World Wisdoms Project, a Colorado nonprofit organization that educates and inspires multi-faith audiences through learning programs and exploration of the arts. In addition, I am a past board member of the Progressive Christian Alliance of Colorado, and I served as a chaplain for the Hospice of St. John in Denver. After studying spiritual traditions and reading many faith-based and life-wisdom books, it occurred to me that the volume of spiritual quotes and passages that I had collected - to which I continue to add - could be a valuable resource for others. My prayer is that you find Spiritual Passages to be a rich, purposeful, and uplifting collection of spiritual teachings, and that the light of the Divine shines brightly in your heart, your relationships, your ministry, and in your own fulfilled purpose. |

OF SPIRITUAL PASSAGES 
The symbol of Spiritual Passages, the epiphany star, is inspired from the Greek word, “epiphany,” which means to "show forth.” The points of the star represent spirit, mind, body, and heart. The emanating light represents Christ Consciousness, the Tao, the Buddha Mind, the Atman, and the mystical illumination of all faith traditions - the Divine radiance that is present in every galaxy, being, and blade of grass.
