A Star Whose Light Will Never Fade

Tina Turner, the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, died yesterday at the age of 83. She was, in a word, unrelenting. After surviving an abusive husband, Tina went on to have a run of hit records, including “What’s Love Got to Do With It.” But her triumphs went far beyond her superstardom. She showed others who lived in fear what a future with love, compassion, and freedom looks like.
