An Awareness Without Time

Daylight saving time ends this Sunday at 2 am. People across most of the nation will “fall back,” turning the clocks back an hour. Authorities say the practice saves energy, prevents traffic accidents, and reduces crime. Plus, when we change our clocks, we can also turn back the bathroom scales a few pounds.

Affirmative prayer: Today, I allow the instances when I look at the clock to be moments of pure consciousness. I pause and sense that my life is transcendent, that I am boundless energy, fully alive in this moment, forever. Thank, you, God, forever. Amen.
