Holy Day, Holy Life

Today marks a sacred day for two world religions. In Christianity, Ash Wednesday begins 40 days of Lent, and is a day of prayer and fasting. It’s an opportunity to deepen the meaning and value of our spiritual lives. And, in Islam, today begins the holy month of Ramadan, a time for inner reflection and devotion to God.

Affirmative prayer: Today, I go within to a place of stillness and reflection, that place which is the very essence of Divine Love. With a pure heart and steadfast spirit, I live fully and love generously. I see my life and the lives of others through the eyes of God. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
