Rising Above Despair, Embracing a Better World

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year – celebrated this year on September 15 and 16 – is the first of the High Holy Days and commemorates the creation of the world. It marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection, atonement, and renewal.

Affirmative Prayer: Infinite Presence, today I consider the mistakes I’ve made, make amends, and learn from them. Knowing that the Divine holds me high, my atonement leads me back to at-one-ment, and I am touched by the better angels of life. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
