Seeing the Face of the Divine

Human faces sculpted into stone up to 2,000 years ago have appeared on a rocky outcropping along the Amazon River since water levels dropped in the region’s worst drought in more than a century.

Affirmative prayer: Everywhere I look, I see the face of the Divine. In the eyes of another, in a sunrise, in the mirror. Pure Spirit, particularized in us all, in all things. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
