The astonishing light of being

The Dutch grocery chain Jumbo Supermarket has implemented a unique solution to combat loneliness among the elderly by creating a “chatter checkout” lane and a special “coffee corner” for customers to chat with the cashier. The initiative is part of the Dutch government’s “One Against Loneliness.”

I turn outward and see that my sisters and brothers are forever anchored in the Divine. We are guided and comforted by the love of God and lean into the brilliance of the human spirit.
