Discovering my Soul's Desire

Award-winning playwright Deborah Zoe Laufer wanted to be an actor. After graduating from college, she headed to Los Angeles to pursue that dream. But, on a whim, she submitted a play she had written to The Missoula Colony and was surprised when her work was accepted. The Colony’s co-founder, Marsha Norman, said to her, “You know you’re a playwright, don’t you?” It was a lightning rod moment that propelled Deborah into playwriting.

Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, I center down today and listen deeply to Life’s call, prodding me to about my heart’s work. I answer the call, knowing that my commitment is the fuel that manifests the dream. My promise is made sacred by selflessness, authenticated by action, and fulfilled by an inspired design for living.
