Known Forever in Divine Mind

When remembering pioneering animators, many people think of Walt Disney. But it turns out, his work was inspired by Bessie Mae Kelley, one of the earliest known women to hand-draw animated films. She began her career in 1917. The men she worked alongside became titans of the artform, but Kelley’s name and work were overlooked until recently.
