Recognizing Spiritual Riches

5/1/2022

May Day or mayday? Do we celebrate spring, or honor the workers of America, or send out a distress call? May 1 is the halfway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. This date is also International Workers’ Day. And “mayday” (no space) is an internationally recognized distress signal, named as such because it sounds like the French word, m'aider, which means “help!"
“Every day, I remind myself that my life depends on the labors of other people, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received.”
– Albert Einstein
“When you begin to feel that there is danger, refuse to recognize loss in any form.  Give the power of mind and thought to the truth of your security. Give full recognition to the boundlessness of your own spiritual riches.” – Christian Larson, Pathway of Roses
Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, I am ready to do the hard work to confront, heal, and release that which is causing me concern. Just as I welcome the change of seasons, I embrace the change in my thinking. All distress is released; my life is made new. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
