Shining Light in Dark Places

4/21/2022

Picture
Brian and Sharon Holowaychuk, owners of a nature resort in British Colombia, are opening up their property for Ukrainian refugees who will be provided with lodging, food, and education for the children. “They can live here in peace, and wait, and see if they can go back home one day."
“A compassionate person touches a chord in us because they offer a haven of peace. This is the ideal to which we aspire. If we leave the world better because we have lived in it, our lives will have been worthwhile.” – Karen Armstrong, Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life
Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, may I shine light in dark places, bringing the brilliance of truth, compassion, and right action into the hearts and lives of others. I see their spiritual essence and give thanks for their goodness. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
