The Grace of Humor

Pope Francis says he prays every day for a sense of humor to help him in his ministry. “A sense of humor is a gift I ask for every day because humor lifts me up and shows me that life is short and to take things in the spirit of a redeemer. It’s a human attribute, but it’s the closest to God’s grace.”
Pope Francis is known for his sense of humor. There’s the story about how he turned to his fellow cardinals after his election and said impassively, “May God forgive you for what you have done.”
