Transforming Adversity to Opportunity

Climate advocates say that last week’s meeting of the G7 – the seven economically advanced countries – reversed progress on global climate initiatives. With the attention of G7 leaders on Ukraine and energy supply threats, the outlook for climate stewardship became more uncertain. Consequently, the G7 agreed to finance fossil fuel exploration, which will lock in high carbon emissions for years.

Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, I see the energy crisis as an invitation to step up my climate stewardship. I make mindful choices about my transportation, consumption, and who I vote for. It’s a teaching moment to approach adversities in my own life as opportunities to rise up, to be inspired and resourceful, and be the good steward that is my divine charge. Thank you, God, forever.
