Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, today I grieve for the darkness cast over our nation, and I pray to hold naught against those who brought destruction. By forgiveness, with a gentle heart, and with confidence in the goodness, talents, and dedication of our better angels, I see a new day. I bless the healing, renewal, and good works already in play in the life of our country, in the lives of us all. Thank you, God, forever.  Amen.
