Heroes among us

9/1/2021

We’re praying today for people in Louisiana and the surround area. Hospitals lost power for a time during Hurricane Ida as medical staff treated those injured by the storm. This, while they were already overwhelmed by Covid patients.
Real heroes don't wear capes. They wear stethoscopes, uniforms, and street clothes. Heroes are everywhere among us, coming to the aid of friends, neighbors, and strangers. They save us, lift us up, and restore us to wholeness. “Whatever you did for one of these brothers and sisters, you did for me.”
Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, I pray that those affected by the storm and by the pandemic – victims and responders – are having their needs met, that resources are flowing to this community. I affirm that those in flood waters and in hospitals feel a connection with others which gives them strength, hope, and a way forward. I pray that healing and restoration are demonstrated today and every day. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
