Listening Deeply to Another

Being a better listener for your loved ones might contribute to their mental wellbeing, a new study in the American Medical Association reported. “Just knowing that someone is listening, that you’re being heard, is a form of social support that can improve our health,” said Dr. Joel Salinas, neurologist.
“When listening to another, don't just listen with your mind, listen with your whole body. What really matters is the Being of the other person underneath the words. This is the realization of oneness, which is love.” – Eckhart Tolle
Affirmative prayer: Today, I deeply listen to the expressions, sentiments, and heart song of those in my path. I listen mindfully to my companions, fully present, seeking to understand. All the while, remembering that we are connected, one in Spirit. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
