Mission Beginning

More than 100 students, alumni, and faculty members of the Afghanistan National Institute of Music were flown out of Kabul to arrive in Portugal where they’re receiving asylum. Ahmad Sarmast, founder of the institute, said they want to preserve the musical tradition so one day they can go back. “The mission is not complete, it just began.”
