On a Quest to Become

Tanitoluwa "Tani" Adewumi has accomplished a lot in his 11 years. In 2017, he and his family, under threat by Boko Haram, fled Nigeria. Two years later, Tani won the New York State chess championship. Soon after, he became a national chess master and is now on a quest to become the game's youngest grandmaster ever.
