Pushing the Outside of the Envelope

5/23/2021

On this day in 1985, Ronald Reagan presented the Medal of Freedom to Chuck Yeager, who helped launch the U.S. into the space age; to Jacques Costeau, who revealed the mysteries of the oceans; and to Mother Teresa for her work of the heart. Each pushed the outside of the envelope – in outer space, deep space, and inner space.
“The earth is rude, silent, incomprehensible at first. Be not discouraged - keep on. There are divine things, well enveloped. I swear to you there are divine things more beautiful than words can tell.” – Walt Whitman
Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, today I give thanks for the way-showers who help me see the goodness and possibilities of this life. I recognize the sacred heart in others and the pattern of perfection at the center of all things, and I allow this divine energy to be the formula and the force of my own inspired creations. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
