Seeing Myself as I Am

8/8/2021

94-year-old Martha Tucker finally tried on the wedding dress she's dreamt about for 70 years. When she got married in 1952, she was banned from segregated bridal shops. When Martha’s granddaughter found out about it, she set up an appointment for her at a local bridal shop.  "I can't explain the feeling I got seeing myself in the wedding dress. It was like I was getting married all over again."
“Know, first, who you are, and then adorn yourself accordingly.”
– Epictetus, 2nd century Greek philosopher
Affirmative prayer: Today, I walk in Divine consciousness, assured of who I Am in God’s life. I clothe myself with compassion, kindness, and generosity. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
