Seeing the Place from Which my Life Flows

For the first time in 2,000 years, visitors to the Roman Colosseum will be able to explore subterranean levels, walking the corridors where gladiators and animals would wait before being sent to the upper arena. Archaeologists and engineers used photographic surveys, surface mapping, and the washing away of centuries of dirt to bring light to the depths.

Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, I go to the depths of my being and uncover the fear, self-doubt, and unforgiveness that depress my joy. But I linger there, in my core, and I also see the trueness of me: pure love and my union with the Divine. I give thanks that, as I bring light to the depths, my soul is restored.
