The eye of the storm

10/16/2021

Federal forecasters announced that La Niña, an oceanic and atmospheric phenomena that occurs every few years, is developing and expected to affect weather and climate across North America this winter. The results can be an increase in hurricanes, tornadoes, and drought conditions.
“The eye of a hurricane moves with the storm. It draws energy from it, while creating a sanctuary of stability inside it. It is both dynamic and stable – and so must we be. An analogue for the eye of a hurricane is a healthy community. When people feel embedded in community, they feel protected, respected, and connected." – Thomas Friedman, Thank You for Being Late
Affirmative prayer:  Infinite Presence, in the midst of the storm, I am centered in the flow of all good. I am forever connected to the Divine and to my family, friends, and community. Through deeds and prayers, I lift up the hearts of others, assuring them that that we are held safe. We are one in Spirit. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
