the irony of Coffee demand and Prices

7/30/2021

Picture
Coffee prices have increased by 20 percent, and demand is up. It’s ironic. People want coffee more than ever, but coffee production is down due to droughts as a result of climate change caused by...people. And coffee beans are sitting on foreign docks because of supply chain problems and a shortage of people to carry out the work.
“The great thing about irony is that it splits things apart, gets up above them so we can see the flaws and hypocrisies.” - David Foster Wallace, American novelist
Affirmative prayer: Infinite Presence, I’m thankful for spiritual irony, that the love I’m seeking is seeking me; the joy and peace I’ve been pursuing in the world is within me. With spiritual insight, I wake up and smell the coffee. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
