until we are tested

5/2/2021

Elizabeth Blackwell was the first woman to receive a medical degree in the U.S. (1849). She was rejected from 29 medical schools before being accepted by mistake by Geneva Medical College. She went on to build a medical practice, served impoverished families, and established the first medical college for women.
“None of us can know what we are capable of until we are tested.”
– Elizabeth Blackwell
Affirmative prayer: Today, I awaken the passion and the grit that was implanted in me by the Divine. With clarity, trust, and fortitude as my foundation, I give myself completely to the calling of my heart. I align my spirit with the God qualities that have brought me to this place, and I get on with it. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
