Who am I when No One is Watching?

6/14/2021

Following the murder of George Floyd, Stephanie Dillon of the Rolling Stones Culture Council offered questions that those who want to end oppression should ask themselves: “How do I treat others? Do my practices align with my values? How am I holding others accountable?” But the main question is, “Who am I when no one is looking?”
“The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by some people. The ultimate tragedy is our silence.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
Affirmative prayer: Today, I court Divine Presence with a sincere desire to find my authentic self, and to allow this self to live and speak the truth that sets us free. I move in alignment with the God qualities that have brought me to this time, this place, for this purpose. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
