Yak Shaving

You want to mow the lawn, then you remember that your neighbor has your lawnmower. He’ll give it back when you return the sweater you borrowed from him. You lost his sweater, so you have to replace it, but it’s made from yak hair. And that’s how you find yourself in the middle of the night breaking into the zoo to shave a yak. It is then that you realize how costly it is to move from thing to thing, and that you have to  manage yourself better in order to have a well-ordered life, which leads to clear thinking, and getting your lawn mowed.
– The term, “Yak Shaving” was coined by Carlin J. Vieri, a Ph.D. at MIT

Affirmative prayer: Today, I seek first the kingdom of God, tuning into the inspiration, love, divine energy, and peace at the center of my being. Then, with power and vision born of clarity, I go about my well-ordered business of life, putting first things first. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.
