St Bernard's rescue - true compassion

8/7/2020

Good news - Daisy the St. Bernard is apparently feeling a little “embarrassed” after she was the subject of a five-hour rescue mission during her descent from England’s highest peak. The 121-pound pooch is known for her prowess in alpine rescues, but on this occasion, it was Daisy who needed saving after she collapsed while descending from the summit. A rescue team carried Daisy down the mountain on a rescue litter. It was reported that she was back to her usual high spirits the following morning.
Quote for the Day - “There is in every animal's eye a gleam of humanity, a flash of light, through which they look up and claim fellowship with the soul.” – Larry Dossey, Reinventing Medicine
In prayer - “Infinite Presence, today may my compassion for others be as genuine as the love and devotion that I witness in my four-legged friends. May a deep respect for all life make us safe and whole, and restore our true soulful nature. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.” – Rev. Scott
