The Day of At-One-Ment

9/28/2020

YOM KIPPUR, THE DAY OF ATONEMENT
"The entire world
is God's message of love to us. Yom Kippur is the time when we are most open to receive this message." -Rabbi Noah Weinberg
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Sandy Koufax, made history in 1965 when he refused to pitch in the first game of the World Series because it fell on Yom Kippur. When Koufax’s replacement, Don Drysdale, was pulled from the game for poor pitching, he told the Dodgers’ manager, "I bet you wish I was Jewish, too."
Affirmative Prayer: “Today, I release the illusion of separation from the Divine and from my fellow men and women, and feel my heart and soul reconciled with the one Life of God. Through the grace of atonement – the beauty of
at-one-ment – I am made whole again and again, always. Thank you, God, forever. Amen.” – Rev. Scott
