"White Helmets" bringing life and hope

3/24/2020

A response to a prayer request from someone with a low platelet count: “Absolutely, we’re with you in prayer. I’m giving thanks to know that every cell in your body is happy and energetically doing its work to keep you healthy. I love the image of your platelets, getting signals that they are needed, and rushing to fix the problem. I like it that they adhere to each other to create “community.” They stick together to create a bond, to stop the bleeding. Reminds me of the “White Helmets” in Syria, volunteers who rush to the scene of conflict and rescue people. They bring life and hope to others. I see your platelets, wearing their white helmets, doing their life-sustaining work, and recruiting more platelets to join them. It’s so easy to imagine these teams of rescuers at home and thriving in your body, in your lovely being.”
